Shocking: Jim Moran says military service is not public service

Rep. Jim Moran (D-VA-08) made these disgraceful comments at the Arlington County Democratic Committee meeting on October 6, 2010. He says his opponent, Patrick Murray has "not performed any kind of public service." Murray is a retired U.S. Army Colonel who served for 24 years, including deployment to Baghdad in 2007.

Moran can't say he misspoke, because he proves he knows about Murray's military service with his next comment, where he tries to politicize Murray's service.

His comments are offensive. He needs to apologize not only to Patrick Murray, but to all who have served our great nation in the best possible way, the military.

When those that put on the military uniform go to work in Afghanistan there is a chance that they might get killed, Moran puts on a tie and calls in at Star Bucks on the way to his office.

A real bad day for a member of the military might mean that pals have died or maybe those pals have lost limbs, a real bad day for Moran would be one when something Obama didn't get something he wanted.

Yep 24 years serving to defend out country is nothing like 24 years as a public servant..
