@HioPojac well its like this, it wasnt like ww2, in vietnam, much like iraq and afghanistan today, if you didnt have somebody you knoew close to you over there you didnt really think of it or care for it. and it was alot larger fof the population then youd think. mostly cause it was an under reported war and what they did report was the bad stuff. civilians being killed and soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen too causing people to call them "baby killers" and lose support of the war

@HioPojac are you fucking seriosu, that shit actually happend asshole, my uncle doesnt talk about vietnam for two reasons, one: it fucked him up too much, he was a tunnel rat. and two: cause society never accepted him back into "the world". trust me theres plenty of documentarys that vets willl talk about the shit being thrown at them. theyd get off the plane and be told to change out of their uniforms for saftey purposes.

@Jayskiallthewayski Society can question the reasons all it wants. WW2, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq.....none of it is anything new. War has been around longer than religion, longer than anything in recorded history and will continue to be there long after the memory of all of us has faded away. It really...."Don't mean nothing" respect the life you've been blessed with while you have it.."change" is temporary...there will always be constants in life and war is one of them.

I don't think anybody in the USA likes the Taliban. I think people want you to return home to the USA because they care about you (and your brothers and sisters who serve their country). That's why a lot of people don't like the war in Afghanistan.
