Hello,
Just took deliver, courtesy of amazon.ca, of two SS 27oz classics with the Sport Cap 2.0, and one SS 20oz insulated. When I found the dust caps inside, I didn't want to place them as you have done, until I found out if that was the right way. I figured that maybe the intent was to have the ring trapped between the body and cap, which seemed wrong, but still, I wanted to be sure.
Well, question answered!
