Angela Jia Kim of http://www.savorthesuccess.com and http://www.youtube.com/savorthesuccess talks about one way that you can quickly motivate yourself to do those dreaded tasks. Staying motivated can be a struggle, so here is a quick tip that can help you get over the "I don't want to do it" hump.

"One thing that I noticed a lot of people doing - whether you are a woman entrepreneur or you are doing a project where you are not seeing immediate results - a lot of people just leave the project before they see the success of it. I want to teach you a cool technique that I learned as a child and as a concert pianist. I also took violin lessons and grew up with the Suzuki Method. The philosophy of this method is to reward if you a task is accomplished in order for you to stay motivated. As a child, this makes it into a game and you want to do the task to get the reward.

So as an adult, this is an excellent way to stay self-motivated. Reward yourself if you put in the work! For example, if you are a writer and you make headway by writing a couple of chapters, reward yourself with a massage!

Little by little, the energy grows, and success begets more success.

Until next time, Savor the Success. xoxo, Angela"

  • This a fantastic idea! Not only does it keep you motivated, but you also have these opportunities to begin living the life you envisioned for yourself as well. As your success grows so does you lifestyle and it will begin attracting more of what you want into your life. Awesome!

  • @OurButterflyEffects Exactlyl!!! So glad you highlighted that. Sometimes we work so hard for "success", but what is success really without savoring the life you are creating for yourself? And then the energy keeps growing. xo

  • I love the Catskills. My family has a home up that way. We love taking our vacation there. Enjoy your vacation with your family!

  • @SCENTSationalSoaps1 That's wonderful... now be honest with me... do the Catskills have tons of mosquitoes in the summer time? I noticed a lot of flies this time around even with all that snow!

  • I'd like that leek recipe mmmm.

  • @melakristina Okay, I will try to post it sometime in the future! xo

  • The reward system is nice but I have a problem with it. I m not a disciplined type when it comes to getting myself to do things I don't like (such as exercise) so I would likely to give in and buy the reward whether I achieve the goal or not.

  • can we get more pictures of angela in her bare feet?

  • I thought this was Kill Bill

  • Well, compared to Florida where we live, they aren't as bad. I don't remember ever being bothered by any flies.
