  • They Didnt But Frankys Scotish :L

  • "One of the first was Alan Wallace

    ( Bravehearts Dad ! )"

Willam Wallaces father was from ayr. and the scots did not wear kilts then. The kilt was developed in the scottish highlands in the 16th century

  • The welsh you were speaking of were Jacobite supporters.

A small handful of welshman wearing kilts whilst fighting in a Scottish army does not constitute a welsh history of kilt wearing. Nor does it support the fact that the welsh ever wore kilts.

And for the record the Jacobite wars was not an English vs Scottish fued. There were english who fought on the Scottish side along with the scots. So I assume they wore kilts aswell then ?

  • One of the first was Alan Wallace

    ( Bravehearts Dad ! )

There has been written evidence that Welsh "troublemakers" who travelled north to join the Scots in their struggle against the English, wore kilts so they wouldn't end-up getting misidentified as English supporters, this has been accepted as fact.

The modern Welsh Cilt is of course based on the wonderfull Scottish Kilt ( Imitation is the best form of flattery ) Real men wear Kilts/ Cilts ! and I'd rather wear a turban than a rose !

  • Or the Welsh Tartan center in Swansea

  • Say hello to John Cabbage and " Fluff" Underwood for me !

  • Congrats from Meirion ( formally from Ystrad ) & Family in Denmark.
