  • like the logo. music is not bad but the presenters are pathetic I'm a pirate dj with 25 years experience and I worked on the legend that is Radio Caroline

  • Sorry you dont like the dj's....

They were there for the buzz, the underground music and the scene...

If you worked on Radio Caroline you wouldnt understand :)

  • Yeah, what is that first song? I can't find it anywhere.

  • These old school pirate stns are a credit to the rave scene from around 88> as they promoted all sorts of great music. I had the pleasure of growing up as a teenager during the good times.

  • What's the first song that plays? Dying to know the name of it.

  • U should listen to Select F.M theres a seriously crap one on there !

  • we used to travel up to hollow rd from swindon every weekend to stay at my m8's house, drop a couple of purple ohms and tape fantsy fm, dance fm and centreforce. happy days!

  • Lets go, ninety - eight - O

  • @kirstyarohanui Thanks for that! awesome, do you know any other sites where I can download old mixes? cheers!

  • @tabathajim it really was a truly unique time indeed, I have never been a part of something so huge since, where so many people came together to REALLY enjoy something new, it seems so long ago now. I'd give anything to go back in time and re live it all over.

  • @me1bster - Agree with you totally pal, anyone with 25 years worth of experience has obviously passed their sell by date. Kind of reminds me of how so many well established legal radio jocks frown upon pirate stations, but ultimately fail to mention how they first broke into the scene. Ias for "PirateDJRadio"'s comment about the female presenters, I guess your comment was based on the fact where I imagine working on a ship with no women aboard is possibly the main reason for such negativity.
