The Double Slit Experiment and a new quantum theory

This video explains the Double Slit Experiment using a new quantum theory on light and time. In this theory the wave function represents the time continuum at the most fundamental level. Time only moves forward because the probability of the wave function only works one way. We always know the position or momentum of a quantum particle in the past. The Uncertainty Principle of quantum physics is the same uncertainty that the observer will have with any future event.

@nickharvey7 Ok, yeah I see what you're saying. Unfortunately I can't comment further on this because I don't know how the measuring device works. If it worked like a normal camera then the light has to enter the device, which would mean it should have no more effect on the light than when switched off. However, the device may work differently to a normal camera so you may be right. I'll have to look into this further! Do you have any idea how the measuring device works?

@1simonmatthews In this theory light is a wave until it comes in contact with electrons. The light is continuously coming through the slits as waves forming the interference pattern. The measuring device is electronic it uses electrons when turned on these electron have to come in contact with the light to do the measurement. This forms a photons and the interference (wave) pattern collapses.

@nickharvey7 Still don't follow. If the device is turned off, there is an interference pattern on the back wall, but when the device is turned on there is only the two stripes on the back wall made by particles. How is a measuring device being switched on affecting what is happening at the slits or the back wall when it is not physically coming into contact with these areas?

@1simonmatthews If the measuring device was in contact with the waves of light going through the slits all the time, then it would collapse those waves into photons the whole time. So the measuring device is positioned so the wave can flow freely. Only when the electronic device is turned on will it affect the light waves collapsing them in just the same way as if they had come in contact with the electrons of an atom. (Simples)

@nickharvey7 Not sure I follow what you're saying about the measuring device. What's the difference between a measuring device that is switched on and one that is switched off, when they are positioned in the same space? I'm not sure this does effect the experiment mind you, I did hear it from one source but I haven't found out if it's a fact yet. But if it is then it's odd. You say that any object can collapse the wave, so why a measuring device that is switched on but not one that is off?

@1simonmatthews Cause/effect is linked to our position/momentum; we also have free will because consciousness electromagnetic activity (light) forming chemical changes in the brain is the most advanced part of this universal process. When the measuring device is turned on it has to come in contact with light waves forming new photons in space and new moment in time as a process of continuous creation. When it is turned off the waves continue again w-particle duality forms the flow of time!

@nickharvey7 Forgive me if I don't describe this accurately, I'm just an everyday guy trying to work out what's going on! But isn't the process of making choices based on cause/effect? All those little waves flowing around and past events, aren't they ultimately effecting/directing the way I think? Also, I've heard that if the measuring device is present in the DS but switched off, the wave doesn't collapse. Any truth in this? If so, then does that put a spanner in the works of your theory?

@1simonmatthews In this theory we all have a role in creating reality because we react with the wave particle duality of light relative to our position and momentum. Because we can choose our position and momentum we can choose where new photon oscillations will be formed. That will form new wave functions of future probability!

Well done, it sounds like you've thought hard about this. Is there an updated version with better audio available? If not, I'd recommend that you re-record the audio for this, making sure you're nice and close to the mic and away from other noises, then re-upload it. Print out the script. Sure to get lots of views! I'm a layman. I just want to know, is there anything spooky going on in the double slit or the universe? Do we have a roll in creating reality?
