RAHWAY FULLY INVOLVED COMMERCIAL BUILDING

At 0320 Rahway Fire Com transmitted at full assigment for flames coming from the building behind the Dunkin Donuts at St. George Ave. and Hazlewood Ave. First due engine whose quarters is aproximately 100 yds away reported a well involved 30 x 75 1.5 story commmercial vehicle electronics installation store. Defensive attack was mounted from Rahway Engine 1 and Truck 10. Linden Ladder 1 also put its arrial ladder in service, along with Roselle Engine 3's deck gun. The fire was extinguished in aprox. 50 minutes and mutual of 4 engines at 2 trucks were brought in to assist.

No, i got there slightly after the arrival of FD units, but prior to any water being applied, as the companies were all taking in there own water. This was a 3rd Alarm Fire.

Rahway Eng. 5 Was the first to respond from mapple ave station. Eng 1 was Second respond from HQ.

No Linden Eng 5, which is Linden's primary mutual aid engine which is out of the Morris and Wood Ave Firehouse was dispatched very shortly after the intial dispatch as Rahway Eng 1 was able to confirm a working fire after they opened there bay door (the firehouse is 50 yds from the fire building). Linden DC responded and ordered there Tower Ladder (Ladder 1) in on the job.
