I made this video to test performance of game after patch 1.3.2. All in-game settings on high. Footage taken on this quite old PC: pentium dual core E2180@2,75GHz, GF8800GT, 4GB RAM
Without capturing, the game runs completely smooth now and I'm happy that they finally made it, but sadly its one year late.
Before patch 1.3.2 I did not capture big battles, becouse result was only slideshow. now finally I can, and as soon as I capture some interesting fights I'll post them. so enjoy this test video.

  • Its sad that Mythic got a bad name for releasing the game when it was not finished when EA pushed them to release so they could sell a few thousands more copies before WoW came out with with their expansion pack :( . Srsly i feel that i could have waited a few more months so that Mythic could have made this game better at launch. damn you EA! But i always loved WAR and still love playing it ;)

  • yes, but they would lost lot of players anyway. Becouse WAR simply did not support solo players and that is why It never will by so popular like a wow atd. war is about winning and loosing against other players/guilds, cooperation between guilds. For solo players game is frustrating, becouse they only lose. But I like it that way, becouse this is mmo, not some oblivion with chat.

  • @Drragnorr

But why did the people even pick up WAR knowing that its a PvP game, did they expect PvE? Its been told countless times before launch that WAR is about getting an army of player and crushing the opposing fraction. Then they go flame about WAR being a crap game just because its a genre not appealing to their taste. Back on topic :P the part where i feel that the game has gon astray at the beginning was too many servers. low population and PvPers got frustrated. Great vid BTW

  • ah not that good vid, It was captured on last month of eltharion r.i.p..so I am planing to capture some trully epic fights we are encountering on azgal now

  • Hi, i played this game perhaps 5 months ago. it lagged ALOT wich made me quit the game. other games like age of conan runs fine. Do u think i am able to run the game on medium/high now? Specs: processor: Intel pentium dual core e2200, 3 gig ram + nvidia geforce 9800gt. THANKS!

  • yes since you have the same PC configuration as me. You should be able to run this game just fine. They really did a great job finding those rotten things in the code.

ofcourse in 250x250 battles on keep lord there are still issues, but It can not be compared to what it was before. mostly in this sittuation turning off spell efects solves the problem. But most of the time I run everything on high.

  • Then i welcome you on Azgal :) Reinforcments on order are always a good thing ;)

  • well, they allowed transfers from low population servers, so in eu we have now two EN servers Karak-Azgal and Karak-Norn with high population and enough action for everyone. So if you want enjoy the game chose one of them. I do not know how are the other DE, FR servers, since I do not care :)

  • I had similar PC spec as you, after changing to i7 860 game runs perfectly with ~80 fps+ in most situations.

Check my videos to see how it perform.

  • thanks so much, i never knew about this thats why it was so laggy for my 4830, i thought my card had a problem
