  • Apart from Berganza's great interpretation, this is a most interesting aria, as Mozart seems to have written it as a test piece for an unknown singer, Louise Villeneuve, who was to create his Dorabella. It is an indignant aria sung by a virtuous girl, much like the even more fiery "Come scoglio" that he wrote for his Fiordiligi. So it seems that for a moment Dorabella is wearing her sister's shoes!

  • A delicious Mezzo voice - one of my favourites!

  • @swanningaround Elegance in singing but with a painstaking study of vocal technique and musical style study periods for here they give us the "degrees" by nature or gifts, work much like traditional voice decades of years due to a very old school instilled by our wonderful neighbors and friends the Italians ... Forgive my English!

  • @swanningaround Spanish teachers and the tradition of bel canto in Spain is based on absolute delivery on stage assuming all risks for the public to enjoy the most although the voice is broken because for us it is courage and dedication.

  • @swanningaround No air or water is the character of the Spanish as well as all citizens Mediterranean. We do not normally like passivity and blankness that it generates in certain areas and especially in art, we prefer the energy from there to many people say we cry when we talk, it is done as usual.

  • Teresa Berganza is very good.

The aria is perfect and does not need any additional coloratura! :(

Therefore I prefer Elina Garanca and Elisabeth Schwarzkopf (on a famous EMI recording)! Both are simply perfect! :D

  • BRAVA!

    BRAVA!

    BRAVA!

    BRAVA!

  • Brava Teresa!!! , The best of all mezzosopans in the world. An example for all singers and students. ¿Have you ever thought about publishing a legacy and advice on exercises? Imagine having a video with Teresa running vocal exercises and a written explanation and advice? It would be so sought after and so grateful for all students of singers in the world.
