Not Just Stars, Cricket Should Help to Transform India...

Unlike other sports in the Western World, Cricket in India is simply creating a "Star" here and there and the sport has not really contributed anything to develop India's sports scenario in any way. BCCI is the world's richest cricket board. But, what have they done to develop cricket in India? Have they built any new stadiums? Have they built any kind of infrastructure to find/develop the talent? Have they done anything to popularise one-day domestic cricket in India?

These Indian cricket governing people are so pathetic that they select new players for the Indian team (for Test, 1-Day, 20/20) by judging a player's game in a 5-day Ranaji game! As far as I know, no 1-Day tournaments are conducted between State teams. This is the height of these stupid people's incompetence. Indian Cricket is plagued by incompetent politicians, self-centric ex-players, rich and stupids, irresponsible officials.

You can watch a live International match in an Indian city, in the stadium, only if you are rich and you know how to get tickets, or by standing in the line for more than a day or two, after personally experiencing some love from the police on your back because of the angry, uncontrollable crowd! Even then, only one in a hundred in a city like Bangalore can go watch the game in the stadium; that too once in 2-3 years. Only a small, selected, blessed section of the society are privileged!!!

One ray of hope in all these is 20/20 cricket. Already people are bidding to own 20/20 cricket teams in India. I am sure this is going to change the sport, in a positive way. We will be seeing more and more games played across the cities in India, thus creating more star-players, more jobs, more sports-entertainment. This truly is going to be the turning point in the history of Indian sports.

Due to the also tyrannical, socialistic ways of our new leader (that has no vision of the free market or capitalism), it could ruin our nation. I probably should mention, I did not watch the video more than probably the first 30 seconds as I couldn't stand to watch the man flap his lips further. Also, the bobble head approach he was taking while speaking was interesting, but it seemed to be continuous which could make some to feel disconcerted, although I just didn't care to watch it. So, I turned it off and commented, which obviously caused some disconcerted feelings on your end! It's makes me question why you care so much?
