Teddy, thanks so much for posting this !! God, this brings back the memories !!! I first started following the Mets in '71, so '73 was my first pennant race. What a classic it was. It was nothing short of a miracle the way the play unfolded. The Pirate rookie who hit the ball, Dave Augustine, was out of baseball by '75. Go figure, huh? I just wonder why SNY hasn't been able to get their hands on this or other Channel 9 broadcasts of stretch run games from 69 or 73.
