MurderDrunken, I've been in the rope access industry for about seven years now, if you really want to get your foot in the door, try window cleaning. It's not much fun but if you can stick it out it's prob the best way to get some hours up. You'll also get loads of practice rigging and plenty of time on ropes. Just a tip

@wanjaman Wow I wish I had as much experience as you. I've got my BOSIET, OLF and did a greenhand course. I never found any work. I also wanted to get into rope access. I remember reading somewhere that the industry is only interested in those with more than the level 1, and that having only the level 1 was effectively useless. It's been a year since you commented, I've just noticed, so maybe you found something by now.
