ole ruger going all out plastic and molding with metals = a gun that will wear faster and ruger still jacks up the prices while he saves money with each modifacation to replace metel for plastic. i miss the ole school guns when steel was used and wood.

get a replacement barrel, they tighten your grouping and remove the lci all at once.

Mr. Theree, You may be the one in a million that got a bad pistol. I'm on my second one and can't say enough good about these pistols. Sorry about your problem and i hope you find a way around this problem. I've had other .22 pistols and the ruger is the best so far.

@kizukinichan To clarify, this is the MkIII 22/45. They make a RP model where you can interchange the grips. However this target model does not allow that. There are three options you have. 1. Hogue or other brand hand all slip on. 2. Sand, drill, and tap for standard 1911 grips. 3. Grip mod by Dominic Notaro.

2 the ruger 22/45 and the ruger p95DC and ruger p95

I have been looking at Rugers websit but there is nothing on there that will work for my 22/45 because there is no screws on the gun handle, the grips on my 22/45 are part of the whole gun handle it is all one piece.
This was the only model they had when I bought my 22/45 and the last one.

@MrEricdgreat The newest models of 22/45 have a replaceable grip option. See Ruger's site for info.
Nice gun man. Do you know if anyone makes any kinda of after market grips? like a slip on kind? any ideas?

@MrEricdgreat The only options I've found so far are custom grips that require you to modify the grip frame by drilling screw holes into it. It's one of the few disadvantage of the 22/45 versus at mkII or mkIII. I'm sure there may be a slip on grip made somewhere, but I'm unable to find one at the moment. If you happen to find anything yourself, be sure to let me know! ;)

I have have this peace of crap for two years now shot 200 rounds threw it and it has been broken ever since factory warranty won't cover it got it fixed by gunsmith put another 100 rounds threw it and it broke again

@MrTheree I'm not really sure you had this particular gun friend. These pistols are extremely well made, and nearly always last for several lifetimes of use. As far as the warranty goes, Rugers warranty is awesome, and the customer service they offer is outstanding. If Ruger wouldn't cover it, the only reason I can think of is gross abuse of the pistol, which no manufacturer is going to cover. Sorry friend.

Nice video, something I was curious about was what do you use for 22/45 mag holders while out shooting? I have been on the look out for some time and have yet to find anything that can securely hold on to multiple mags while on the go and still have ease of access. Any ideas? Thanks, knottyhands@yahoo.com

@forbrucenash I don't have the item number off hand right now, but Fobus makes a very decent holster and double mag holder for this pistol. I use them for sitting duck competition.
