Here is a 8MM clip that is approximately 33 years old taken at the Zarghan Airport, between Shiraz and Persepolis. I was a teen-age member of the Aviation Club and this clip is my first solo flight in a glider. It was customary to pour cold water on the student's head after the first solo flight. I was in the area about 5 years ago and was very surprised to see that the same gliders (Blanik L-13 made in former communist Czechoslovakia) were still flying.
Great film!
What are you mostly flying on in that area, ridge, wave og thermals? :)

I had couple of training sessions there around that time too. It was a great place and I still tell my kids about it.
