Making of The Hobbit - Behind the Scenes

Peter Jackson interviewed behind the scenes in the early stages of the Filming and the making of the hobbit by JRR Toklien. In this video Peter is talking about The Hobbit in its very early stages, with all of the people working behind the scenes. The Movie starting from early 2011 will probably be finished in 2 to 3 years time. Technology has come a long way since Lord of the Rings which were excellent, so the affects are expected to be fantastic for this movie

@navylaks2 the silmarillion would be very hard to into a movie since its a collection of many stories. at best, I think the most you could expect would be a short film on "beren and luthien"

Such a large group of the New Zealand population felt they were entitled to be hired again for the hobbit, I think that was the source of the legal issues. I cannot remember though, so yes I could be wrong :)

@ArctusCanusLupus because so many people do not know about this yet, so many people lost interest thanks to the labor strikes and legal issues that kept putting the film on hold. It was EXTREMELY bad, you can read all about it and even watch videos of Peter Jackson bitching about it. If this hadnt happened, The Hobbit would have been released already I bet
