SarahSLH we know that "he cares for you"—gives us the motivation behind His other promises. Our God is not cold, unfeeling or capricious. Rather, He is our loving heavenly Father whose heart is tender toward His children. Jesus reminds us that just as an earthly father would not deny his children bread, so God has promised to give us "good gifts" (Matthew 7:11) when we ask Him.

Thank you Sarah this is such great advice. What do you say to anyone who tells you to prove to them that God is real and they do not believe in the bible. What can you tell me about this please.

Everything in the Christian life comes by faith, including the initial step of repenting and receiving Christ. Although in some cases people have come to Christ through researching historical/scientific/Scriptural facts, that isn't the way God has chosen for mankind to come to Him. The way God has chosen is through the 'foolishness' of preaching the cross. What you can do for these people you mention is to give them the gospel, however they react the Holy Spirit works through the gospel.

The way to really know God is real is to put your faith in the risen Lord. To believe that He died on the cross for our sin and rose again on the third day and that He is alive NOW.
