Blue- Save The Wolves

Hi my name is blue wolf, and I want to tell you about some thing that is happening in the world around you. This thing is wolf hunting! The wolf is an important animal to the ecosystem. The wolf hunts the weak and old elk, caribou, deer, moose, bison, wild sheep, wild goat, and musk ox. This helps the herds because the wolves hunt the weak and old animals and leaves the strong animals, so only the strong animals breed. The wolf helps the ecosystem by doing this. The wolf is a lot like us. They have families that care for one another. They work together as a group to survive. They feel sadness when one of them dies; they feel happiness when a new litter is born, and they want to protect the ones they love so when some one kills a wolf the whole pack suffers. In some places the people want to decimate the whole pack! In Alaska they pay the hunters $150.00 for the front leg of a wolf!

There are some different ways they kill the wolves. But the most brutal of all is Arial hunting. The only state that allows Arial hunting is Alaska. Arial hunting is when there are two people a shooter and a pilot. They go out in the winter when they can see the wolves and there is no escape. Once they find the wolf they shoot at it from the air with buck shot. Most of the tine they do not hit the wolf from the air and they chase the wolf till the wolf collapses from exhaustion. Then the hunters land and shot the wolf. If they do hit the wolf from the air it is never a clean kill. They mostly hit the wolf on the back. The animal dies in pain and agony and the snow is coated in the wolf's blood. The whole pack howls in sorrow for there dead pack mate. How would you feel if your parents were murdered for money? The wolf lives in constant fear of humans. They don't want to die, nobody wants to.

The wolf has a heart and sole and it lives like you and me. They have communities called packs, they have a president called alphas, they have vice presidents called betas, and they have pace makers called the omega. But it is not thought of as equal. They are hunters like us and have close families. But we think that we are grater because they cannot speak our language. We are not superior because they are not like us. They are more alike us than we think, we just don't want to look beyond the paws to look at the soul.
