V&A Jan to March 2010

Welcome to Communication ID working in partnership with the Victoria & Albert museum, also known as the V&A. It is a famous British museum housing a collection of objects like artefacts and ceramics. Communication ID will be providing BSL interpreted access to four events coming up.

The first event takes place this month on the 22nd January and starts from 4.30 to 6.30pm. The theme is Medieval & Renaissance both of these are linked to periods in history. You can enjoy yourself and the curator will attend, explain everything, and then you can enjoy the visual presentations of the galleries themselves.

The second event takes place on the 26th January from 7pm until 8pm. This topic is Christian Boltanski Monumenta 2010 this is the event that marks the exhibition of a major new commission called Personne for Monumenta 2010. Also there will be a new publication which is called Christian Boltanski and this is written by a person called Catherine Grenier and an extra bit of information is Flammarion 2010. Christian Boltanski is an internationally renowned artist who has been invited to the V&A and he will talk about his life and his work this shall be with the writer and curator who is called Hans Ulbrich Obrist.

The third event will be taking place on the 19th February at 6.30pm 7.30pm and the topic of this is 18th Century French Porcelain, this will be an informal enjoyable event lead by a curator to talk about 18th century French porcelain.

The last event of this season is the 19th March and this is from 7pm through until 8pm, the theme of this is Frank Stephenson Talking Design, who is the designer of the world famous mini and also he was the design chief for Farrari and Meserati hes an expert within his field. Also he designed future vehicles for companies called Fiat and also Lancia. He is currently working for a company called McLaren. This talk will be in regard to design lifestyle and also automobile icons.
