hahaha - you tagged this as "terrible cover"? it's certainly not terrible!

prefer your voice over colin hay, in this song at least.

Yes my brother! Heart in that!!
-
awesome cover

It probably gives him more fretboard to work with and gives the tonal qualities of a longer scale.
Either that, or its just more comfortable for him there.

well done :)

Fantastic.
The plucking and the hammer on's sound great, they're doing my head in trying to figure them out...
Great cover, well done,

Thanks man....its really not that hard at all to play. Simple chord progressions with some fills thrown in...

Why did you tune 3 steps down and capo at 3rd instead of capo at 6th with standard tuning. is it simply preference over the tightness of the strings that you are strumming or am I missing something?
Thanks

You didnt miss anything at all... :) It was kinda a joke. Me and my buddy were always saying that people were always asking for the tunings for songs. It was kinda a joke....its just standard tuning and capo'd at the 3rd fret.

I am really impressed. I have been playing this song for quite a while but I still haven't got a lot of the intricacies of the guitar part. I know this is a lot to ask but could you please post a video of you playing some of the more fiddly guitar bits slowly with the camera focused on your left hand? Its a longshot but it would really help me to learn it.

I wish I had the time to post something in regards to a tutorial but my time has been filled up with other things these days which is a pity.
Thanks for the comment and its not that hard, its really just hammer ons and bass runs to other chords.
