Notre Dame undergraduate students have the opportunity to conduct research at an elite Catholic school for girls in Kolkata, India, that has been turned into an education center that welcomes the city's street children and allows them to become advocates for social change.
The 2009 trip was supported by seed money from the Center for Social Concerns, which also provided technical expertise. Additional support came from the ESS minor in the College of Arts and Letters, the Kellogg Institute for International Studies; and the Arts and Letters Office of Undergraduate fellowships.
