"Sil" - so heißt das Ergebnis eines Experiments unter der Leitung des Wissenschaftlers Xavier Fitch. Sil ist weiblich, blond, attraktiv und will sich paaren, um Nachwuchs zu erhalten. Das Problem: Sil ist enstanden aus einem DNS-Code, den die US-Regierung aus dem Weltall empfangen hat. Sollte Sil es schaffen, sich erfolgreich zu paaren, würden innerhalb kürzester Zeit viele reinrassige Aliens die Erde bevölkern. Um Sil, die sich in L.A. nach ahnungslosen Paarungs-Partnern umschaut, zu stoppen, stellt Fitch ein Team zusammen...
