  • Very wise response, Though everyone seems to equate the golden rule with being a push over; everyone seems so focused on reaction. However, my interpenetration is that the golden rule is asking you to take responsibility for your life & the circumstances you find yourself in. I'm a martial artist & believe in defending myself, but we've all heard the phrase, "live by the sword, die by the sword." It seems to me that I usually get back what I put out. Also, walking away can work wonders:)

  • @TheMoonKingdom People should not confuse Kindness with Weakness but they often do. I'm a martial artist too. :)

  • "If you don't defend yourself, it's considered suicide".

And nice analogy... i pondered on that one about being hit by a car for a long time and stuck it on my channel description. Recognising your self in the person who is your perceived enemy is where i'm at.... and it changes my perception entirely of many situations of life on earth. Are we in opposition? Or inhabiting different slices of the same consciousness? I'm seeing it as more of a collaboration...!

  • @TheSpartacat It is enough to say what i perceive without fight, because everyone is flawed in perception. Perception is merely a slice. All mental expression is a facet of the totality of consciousness, i think. Ultimate consciousness needs many thoughts to piece together ultimate truth....

Just saying.... (out loud) We ALL fit into the whole... we create IT, and IT creates us.

  • But we are not purely spiritual beings, we are physical, and we are bound to the physical in nature... i will fight to defend nature, because it promotes life, and life promotes opportunity to spiritual understanding... but that eye for an eye stuff... Nah!

And certainly defending ideology... its enough of a grey area that I realise, my mind falls short, i can never be in knowledge of all truth... so... why fight?

  • I was always felt that Buddhism taught the golden rule... because ultimately, loss is non existent.... perceived loss is what i called the "human calculator"- the perception of loss, which is realm of ego, be it energetic loss or physical... Once you realise all is flux, constantly- then it ceases to matter. All will be lost at some point? (or all that we hold onto mentally will be lost.,,,)

  • lol i should have made a video to you also hehe =))

you are the wisest you can be, set up as you are at the time, when comes to helping your kids, id add try and talk to the person and ask them "why they are being the way they are and if they wanna try something ells that is fun for all, and not just some", and then invite the "bully" to do something fun, and try and help em become a better person, cos they might be searching for someone to help em but meet rejection time after time =//

  • id like to ad, if someone attacks you the best way is not to deffend your self, the best way is to avoid the fight completely, using the principles of aikido, where you either just move and let the attacker "hit holes in the air" or if u wanna engange without really deffending your self, as i see it anywyas, you can use the attackers force to pull em away from you, to me deffending is "taking blows by blocking or even dishing out hits your self", but might be just is my definition =))

  • hey there gadzo =))

i made a reply ( youtube.com/watch?v=DODU6AdoV38 ), to the video you made a reply to, in this one, and i think you would be interested in seing it. and also, when come to, an eye for an eye, i think you wanna se a video i made called "accepting =))" youtube.com/watch?v=nM8CtdslDU4 here if works like that =))

  • As any little green alien will attest, humans are a tribal war-like society capable of the most sublime cruelties but at the same time capable of seeing this in themselves and exhibiting love, kindness and breathtaking compassion. I blame the fact that we are made out of meat - it makes us this way, along with the interfering subconscious chatting to us. We should strive for the golden rule - freed from flesh we could be so much better...
