Being a Dad of a young Ballerina, this song tears my heart from my chest. The thought of your little girl growing up to dance for someone else. The "dreary Sunday morning" being referred to is the rainfall that fills a father's eyes when he realizes that his life is so mortal and his daughter's life was meant to go on.

My 45 copy of this is MUCH more scratchy, LOL. And it was one record I could play as loud as I wanted without my parents banging on the wall to "Turn that noise down!" Lovely, lovely song.
