the only reason you dumb kids like bands like (panic at the disco, AFI, etc.) is because you see them everyday on TV, see their billboards in your town, or hear them on the radio, but thats just pathetic, if you consider yourself a REAL fan of music, you would take some time to SEARCH for other bands, instead of them being force-fed to you through a TV or radio.

SUPPORT THE BANDS THAT ACTUALLY NEEEEED SUPPORT!

thats why alot of you guys can't tell the difference between blues and rock n roll, rock n roll came from the blues, the lyrical content is different, but it still retains the raw emotion like the blues.


so, if jazz spawned the blues, and the blues spawned rock n roll, I think its about time for musicians to get their fucking heads checked and make some GOOD MODERN music!!!

blues has been around since at LEAST the 1920s

it got really big around 1950-1960.

it had a huge impact on the youth of that time, which would include all the bands like Cream, Jimi Hendrix Experience, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, etc.

the difference between blues and rock n' roll is that blues was created by african american steel workers in the 1920s, and rock and roll was created by a bunch of kids that were being influenced by the blues around 1950-1960,

Don't forget the rhythm....completely different. Oh and there's scales considered to be blues scales.

musically Rock & Roll is exactly the same but faster. It's the same chord progressions know as a 1-4-5 progression but faster. In the '30 - '40's a lot of people in the US moved from the country to the big cities like chicago and detroit. Styles like blues, country and jazz started to mix up in those cities and that is how rock & roll came up. But it all started with the blues actually but it all has a lot in common. Well buddy blends blues and funk and rock together. The blues is for example what Howling wold said if you have no money and your woman left you. Rock is celebriting the good times drug's sex money ect. But buddy is a combantion at times. Hope thats a good respond. also blues is more about feeling.
