Sadly, this show was cancelled almost as soon as it began.  I guess many thought it was silly and unimaginative. I'd take a show like this anytime over what TV has become today! Hundreds of stations out there and most of the content is utter garbage, in my opinion! A POX ON REALITY SHOWS!!!

In earlier episodes, Mom could not move on her own and had to be driven.Now she's able to drive herself! Interesting that they built two custom cars for this episode! Barbara Bain, of course, went on to fame on "Mission: Impossible." It's noteworthy that she learned how toi poll off an undercover caper not on that show but on "My Mother The Car." This was Maggie Pierce's only TV series (she plays Jerry's wife, who not only sleeps alone but clutches the blanket to herself when in their bedroom)!

Much better than reality television. This ,while not standard 1960s fare, this is an absolute delight to watch. Great Entertainment. Thank You

You have to admit, this show wasn't in the same league of sitcoms such as Gomer Pyle, USMC or Gilligan's Island, but at least it's WAY BETTER than any of the crap that passes for a sitcom on today's TV.

IMHO, at least.
