any effort is worth it to bring back a flattie. i don't care if the flattie doesn't produce as much horsepower, the feel and the sound of the flatties make up the difference.

1940 ford i think is one of nices looking of all them old fords, i have a 1949 flat head in my 46 DeLuxe coupe, cant get know fire to the plugs, drive me nutts, new points gap right new coil, new every thing wont fire

Good Show Mart, The engine seems to be in good condition - I didn't see much smoke from the exhaust. Another one brought back to life. Cheers.

Anyone notice when I get a real jolt from the ignition at around the minute mark. I'm so focussed on what I'm doing I virtually ignore it.
Thanks for the comments guys, I had a problem with the motor after a while, there was a washer or something got down on top of one of the pistons, it must have remained there for a while and then come dislodged and made a right mess of the piston. Managed to swap in one new piston and now it's been running a while it's the sweetest flatty I've ever had.
