It was weeks before I was due to compete in an international karate tournament back in 1997, that I first began to feel the crippling effects of psoriatic arthritis.

Though I initially managed to control the pain and won karate medals for my country, it wasn't long before this chronic disease, which is associated with the inflammation of the joints, returned with a vengeance and my life would never again be the same.

Trying to cope with the disease led me into a spiral of self-destruction. I felt depressed, isolated, ridiculed and humiliated. I became unable to work and consequently lost my job as I began to face financial difficulties.

In the few years that followed and many failed treatments later, I felt more like a scientific experiment than a patient. Doctors instructed me to cease most physical activity and suggested that I apply for a disability pension. When I asked them about participating in endurance sports, they told me that my chances of living a normal life are slim and I should not get my hopes up.

With over 28 years of martial arts training and experience with the kinds of miracles that the mind and body can perform I was able to develop a powerful and unique system that make it possible to life a fulfilling life

By combining the true principles of the martial arts, and developing physical and mental conditioning alongside nutrition and psychology, I equipped myself with the tools that I could apply to many aspects of my life. I overcame many obstacles that I was facing and gained the inner strength and protection to achieve everything I've ever wanted and become true to myself. I now enjoy facing new challenges and am excited by every new opportunity that comes my way.

The ArtOfMore group meetings have been developed to help other like minded people come together and work on their own challenges as a team.
