@nondescriptnyc I also have to say Todd was probably one of the best male pair skaters in terms of form, technique, musicality, presentation and extension.

@nondescriptnyc Hmm, I thought Selezneva fell on something in this worlds, maybe Im wrong, Actually Waschman and Waggoner were very strong SP skaters, they often were in the top 5 internationally in several of the world championships in that phase. I still think they could have edged that Soviet pair with a little fairer judging there.

@ metsdudenj They placed 4th in FS, which pulled them up from 5th after the SP. They skated amazingly well and I would have LOVED to see them medal there. But Valova/Vasiliev and Selezneva/Makarov both skated very well with lots of speed, and the Soviets had programs that were technically more demanding (e.g., SBS 3Ts).
G&G had a messy FS, but the judges placed them 2nd--so, well, what are we going to do...
