SRT-4 vs. Plymouth Belvedere

Here's a mildly modded `04 SRT-4 Neon going up against a 383-4spd `65 Plymouth Belvedere. I have no idea who these guys are but they've got some nice cars.

my 69 dart 340 swinger 4 speed 391s sure grip diff stock with just minor upgrades mufflers and changed points to mopar orange box and performance distrib. car runs low 13s me and my dad ran it our slowest time was 13.87 with spinning off the line to

@dstratus97 That's a good runnin' little A-body you guys got there! Nice e.t.'s! Got any videos of it? Launching stickshift cars aren't easy. I gotta' kinda' roll my Challenger out before laying into it, but then again that's because I've got skinny street tires on it. @dstratus97 sorry to disagree, but with a GOOD driver and a pair of sticky tires bolted on... a stock 2003 SRT-4 will click off 13.90's all day long. did it myself.

Some of you guys need to relax just a little bit. First off, the DODGE Neon SRT-4 is an American car, built in the USA by the UAW in Belvidere, Illinois. It wasn't shipped in from Tokyo like some of your misinformed folks think. Secondly, just because a car has half as many cylinders and a turbo doesn't mean it's going to be slow. I own both a 1971 Challenger R/T 383-4spd (runs 12.70's) and a 2003 Dodge Neon SRT-4 (runs high 13.90's and is STOCK). I love them BOTH. They both have their place.

OH BTW people there srt4 that ran in the 8s and 7s in the 1/4 mile trapping 160+ / 180+. look it up the guy who built it is called DCR Darrell Cox Racing!! Red sled (ran a 8s pass) and hotrod (ran a 7s pass) and they only have a 4 banger in them.

Love both cars. and i have a fully built neon that still gets 30 MPG. and runs on low boost 20 psi no timing a 11.5 @ 128 miles with 1.75 60ft.at 3000 ft above sea level. still have 22 more psi to play with.
