Before a disaster hits, simply place the Water Bob in any standard bathtub, attach the fill socket to the faucet and fill the bladder to capacity, 100 gallons, in approximately 20 minutes. A siphon pump is included to easily dispense the water into jugs or pitchers. Constructed of heavy duty food grade plastic that is FDA compliant and can store water up to 4 weeks.

    Is it reuseable?

Manufacturer recommends that the bladder not be reused. Manufacturer instructions say to slit the Water Bob with a knife to drain the unused water.

What a great idea! It would be cool to have something like when you're expecting a hard freeze. The pipes always freeze a few times in the winter here and the water won't flow.

it's all about sanitation. the water can get contaminated if it's just sitting open in a tub. We used our waterBob during Hurrricane Sandy. Will be buying another to store for the next emergency...

Of course, water can always be stored in a bathtub without this device. Do people buy this because they want the extra bit of sanitation in an emergency?

It depends where you live, some places, particularly ones with higher ground, lose access to running water during power outages.

If your getting water from a well then you should invest in a manual pump as a back up instead of buying this item. This item works best for urban preppers. Its a bit obvious that your not getting water from your well if you have no power to run your electric well pump.

Sure if you are on city water system. but if you are getting water from a well then the well pump is electric.
