RNC ILLEGAL MASS ARREST -PART 1- SHEPARD RD 9/1/08

-Bystanders arrested
-Police gave NO order to disperse
-Police would not say if we were being detained or arrested
-Police refused people to leave and were charged with "refusal to leave"
-Police are withholding peoples private property such as house keys, cell phones, and wallets.
-When released from jail, many people were stranded in the middle of the night without money or any way to call for help or rides home.
-Many of the people in the video were given felony charges and have bail set at $2,000.
-Police were dumping peoples belongings out of their bags and later ran much of it over with police cars.

The gas masks were not just for their own protection should they need to gas these "criminals", but to keep them unidentifiable while the "world is watching". Cowards and government puppets. I do believe the people out numbered the cops. That's what I would have done. Don't just stand there and allow them to violate your rights. You are going to jail anyways why not fucking fight. This was wrong. Very wrong.
