2 BNSF GP38-2s #2325 and #2702 lead local through Joliet IL. The train drops off tank cars and covered hoppers at the various industries in the area. Train also has the surprise of a nice ATSF caboose. Filmed on the BNSF line going over the old Rock Island diamond.

  • gosh, i sure miss cabooses

  • Diamonds + cabeese = thumbs up!

  • What Industries Are In The Area?

I Have Seen On Google Earth The Area, And Have Only Seen A Spur Track Of The Chillicothe Past Logistics Park Chicago, And 4 Warehouses On Centerpoint Properties (LPC)?

Is That Where The Train Was Headed?

  • Just put an E.O.T on the caboose and your good to go. Haha.

  • If you look at some of these caboose videos, you find end-of-train devices, which would indicate that nobody is riding in them. There is no ETD on this caboose, so it aparently has a rider. Anybody that's ever ridden in a caboose will tell you that it's about like riding a mechanical bull. The accumulated coupler slack causes cars toward the back of a train to get tosses around by stops & changes in speed. The longer the train, the more coupler slack, the more a caboose gets tossed around.

  • is that the Argon Local?

  • I wish CSX would keep thier cabooses on thier trains, too! BNSF engines sometimes are seen on CSX's Granite Sub Main Line here.A short train just passed by.Thanks for sharing! Brainy

  • Awesome video! That sure is a long local compard to the ones I catch!
