The Royal Liver Building celebrates it's 100th birthday this year, having been completed in July 1911. It is a Grade I listed building and is a designated World Heritage site. It sits on the waterfront overlooking the River Mersey, and has the famous Liver Birds sitting on top. It's clocks are larger than the ones in London on the famous Big Ben tower, and it is one of Liverpool's most famous buildings.
This weekend a whole bunch of celebrations were organised including live music, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, the new Museum of Liverpool was opened.... and there was the MOST amazing 3D projection show by the Macula group, projected right onto the Liver Building itself. (with a second part projected onto the new spectacular museum)
Myself and my wife Jane had a wonderful time out. This video is a summary of our day, and includes the entire Macula show.
Enjoy!
(recorded on my phone in HD, and an old SD camcorder.. apologies for the quality)
