Peter Suk-Sin Chan's Chinese painting- ( Red Peony ) n singing Mandarin song

In this video, you will see artist Peter Suk-Sin Chan's newly finished art work- Red Peony - 2010 ( which is a traditional heavy colour detail chinese painting 重彩工筆).

Peony is one of the most favour flower for Chinese date back thousand of years ago. It symbolized Wealthy and Prosperity. It is well love by chinese royal family and it's people. You will often see chinese people will display a huge peony flowers paintings in the middle of their formal sitting room at home or in their business office. Because they belief it is an excellent Fung-Shui display object and will help bring in wealth .

Usually it take many days to finished a traditional chinese heavy detail paintings. It also depend on the size and the content of the painting. For example , this painting-The Red Peony- is about 2feet highx4feet long with lot of flowers and leaves, so it take Peter about 12 different days ( approximately close to 60 hours ) to finished. But doing a heavy detail flower painting is absolutely enjoyable. It give you a sense of peace of mind, connect your spirit with the beauty of nature, provide you with a lucky, positive and fortune feeling which is really good for the mind, soul and body.

Beside painting , artist Peter Suk-Sin Chan also love to sing, so he sing one of a popular Mandarin old song as the background for this youtube video.

Beautiful painting, Peter-san.. absolutely gorgeous colours! This painting is alive! The vibrant reds and soft greens are so attractive, and the details, amazing -^^-

Somehow, in my head is that song, 'Chun foong ta wen sang liao wo di lien, Gau su wo jin tian ser chun tian..' (or something like that!) hehehe~ But this song is also very good, a little sad but ahhh anything YOU sing is mighty fine, Peter-san!
