I only heard this song once in midday tv showing when I was home sick from school in about 1964. I have never heard the song again ... but I can distinctly remember the lines "My way ..." and the amazing performance of Robeson who I didn't know at all then ... I see it here on You Tube and it's just as amazing and effective and evocative ... Robeson is, for me, the greatest performing artist of the 20th. century ...

Taken from the 1937 film JERICHO. There are actually two Robeson performances of the tune in the movie.
