From 1994 album Dart to the Heart. (Not Cockburn's most inspired album title, let's face it.) I redid this one to make the chords more visible. The main riff here is built around an A chord: X02225. Other chords (in order of appearance): Bminor, Dmajor, Emajor.

  • Really nice job. Wondering if you have an instrumental-only version of this I could get. I want to record a vocal cover for my wife (she loves the song), but I don't play guitar...

    Any help?

  • @burningeyefilms sorry, don't have that & really don't possess the equipment to provide...

  • The chorus changes in every verse...

  • @znarf541 yeah, i know-- i was singing it from memory, mainly to demonstrate the guitar part; the lyrics are amply available elsewhere.

  • Terrific job: very clear and clean, with the exception of that really difficult, clean slide he does from E(sus) into the D... but let's face it, that kind of apparently-effortless thing is what makes Cockburn a bit of a fingerstyle god, and the reason we attempt his stuff instead of him attempting our stuff. Great job, and very helpful. Many thanks.

  • Deadly job man!

  • Well done again! Thanks for posting. Do you do Saharah Gold?

  • Nicely played and sung
