Conservative Leader David Cameron visited Dumfries on Thursday (December 17) ona whistlestop tour. After speaking exclusively to the Standard he met with Council Chief Executive Gavin Stevenson to discuss the town's recent flooding.

  • Another one with too much money!....its true in what they say too many cheifs and not enough Indians!.....the standard should take a good look at what the council has spent on this new depo at what was the ICI

  • It was interesting to see Dumfries and Galloways new chief Executive discussing the recent terrible flooding with the Conservative leader MP David Cameron.about the posibility of the future use of demountable barriers on camerat Off camera This does not appear to be the case. Dumfries needs to become flood free and soon. Surely any good idea should be discussed including demountable portable barriers and not just pushed to the side as appears to be the case.
