Just wondering, I have never played as Soviet, but as other countries - it usually pays off bigtime to build alot(!) of factories early in the game (36-38). Is factories a bad idea for Soviet, or dont you need them for this particular game?

Well, how do they help you? Let's count. One factory builds up for 1 year in cost of 5 IC. If you play with a country with IC 70+ or even 100+ - 1 IC is a waterdrop in the sea. On the other hand if you'll have some more divisions, some more airplanes, some more tanks - you'll get this IC's and even more from other countries sooner, that'll compensate the costs and leaves you with more divisions to face real enemy..

well after a week of hard work im retaking the lets play =D when i played with usa my unrest went to 60% and i lost all the country =D so sad...

@1TtidnaB i think factories help cuz with 100+ IC you can build a lot of paralel and serial runs and then in 1938-9 you can buil more armies nd more quicker.
