A great song. And as a musician (clarinet player), I think this is a beautifully sad and sensitive version. It doesn't quite have Townes' unique gravitas (for want of a better, less pretentious word) but no other version than his really has. This one is lovely in its own right - beautiful phrasing and timing, and you hit the notes just right! David

I love this song. The Be Goods put me on to it too. I usually look for covers that are not as good as me and I think "I can do better than that" and it inspires me to try harder. So I have nailed it with a bit of wailing harmonica but your version is awesome and I am just an old man. Riffski Tilbury No Country for Old Men

since you seem to like feedback I'm going to give my opinion here. you sound great, you play smooth and you have a very nice voice but I think you're holding back. think of the darkest, saddest moment in your life before playing this song the next time and tell me how it sounds.

beautiful....the songs great too

I've come back to this after about a year. It remains one of the best covers I've found for any song on Youtube. Hope you're still pursuing your talent...

Beauty job. Vantastic.

Nice variation. Better to to what's in your head than try and sound like TVZ and do it badly which is about 80% of the songs posted on YT.

Great picking! Don't know that I liked the vocal arrangement all that much, but you have a sweet voice. I'll be viewing your other covers soon (I hope there are some!)

I thought it stunk. And Townes would have felt the same way.Have this girl sing Janis Ian songs. The work of T.V.Z. should be performed by a man!

@1994g0: that´s hillarious...but also a bit sad...you know, music and art in general cannot be put in boxes like that...
why is gender so important for you and how does this restrict your own life/experience?
anyway, still thanks for your feedback, sometimes it can be helpful to have a reality check...
a long way to go, i guess...
