@SwitchbladeKitty The answer unfortunately is a lot of teen do ask their parents. The real sad thing is that many parents comply with these requests. Many parents have the idea of " They will drink anyway, why not drink here where they are safe and we'll take the keys?" It's almost like saying " My minor teen is going to have sex anyway, so why don't I just let them do it on the couch and not in a hotel room, where I know they'll be safe."

Wow these comments scare me. The drinking age is 21 for a reason. The human brain continues to develop into a person's mid 20's. Damage from alcohol during adolescence can be long-term and irreversible. Short-term or moderate drinking can impair learning and memory far more in youth than in adults. Adolescents need only drink half as much as adults to suffer the same negative effects on the brain. Just google "alcohol and the brain" and you will see research to back up these statements.

@CalyxAsgard Actually, the word "minors" here means people who are underage (meaning they're not 18 or 21 yet). It doesn't mean people who work in the mines all day.
