Sonic Tutorial Movie -part 1-

Finally... it's here. lol

Took me quite a while to do this. And it's not even 4 minutes long! =_=

I hope you like it. Part 2 will take another good while... recording replays against CPUs and then trimming the desired parts and putting them together sure takes a lot of time... xD

Sorry about the timing on some parts... well, just pause and read the text xD

Meh... I know I'm not the best at making tutorials, but I hope that at least you'll learn something from this. Even if it's "how not to make a tutorial vid" =P

I wasn't "fighting" anyone, I was just showcasing the moves.

Those are simply Lv.3 CPUs (didn't even care to change it to 1, IIRC).

Sonic's my main and both my friends online and offline think I am the best or one of the best Sonic players they know, but ironically I have always had a hard time initiating the upA kick without doing an up-smash. For some reason it 90% will do the smash instead.

Try disabling the up for jumping. This way you can just hold up slower, without the risk of jumping or Smashing.

How about you do some on level 9 oppenents seriously now a days lots of people dodge not just you these moves are harder to hit then you think

The point of this tutorial is not to make you play like a pro or something. I'm just explaining every move with some examples of usage.

It's like saying: "Snake's fsmash does a lot of damage but it's slow as hell", then you put a clip to show how much it's slow, but strong. That doesn't mean that you should use it a lot.

I can't make up a "recipe" that will -always- work for every single one of Sonic's moves. No one can.

Plus, fighting a Lv. 9 is nowhere near as fighting a good human player.

Very nice video, been trying to learn how to play sonic, i'm good but not great :).

The tutoial was brill, good editing and clear instructions and info, the only problem is sometimes the text goes a little to fast.

I'm alright with Sonic, I just need to find a way to get around the lack of powerful smash moves.
