Super Furry Animals - Northern Lites (Big Star Version) (Glastonbury 2007)

This is a rare live outing for the alternative version of Northern Lites played by SFA on their 'Hey Venus' tour in the style of Big Star / Teenage Fanclub.

It's a great song even without the steel drums.

I seem to recall Gruff inviting other bands to do a straight cover of 'Northern Lites' at the time it was released. He thought it would make a good straightforward rock track. Nobody obliged, so many years on, SFA seemingly decided to cover themselves!
