Never (EVER) has Wagner's Walkure been presented in a more repulsive production. It's an unimaginably ugly, revolting, ridiculous affair from beginning to end. The entire production crew should be taken out and shot.

Zubin Mehta is the worst Wagner conductor who I know without Juha Uusitalo this recording would not be endured. He is perhaps the best Wotan we have at the moment!

I've been watching a bunch of these and have seen Wotan kneel a few times... It is not a sign of submission but of grief and love...

I think Wotan should NOT have knelt. Brunnhilde should have been on her knees and Wotan should have rushed to embrace her.
