spwb2k....you are an idiot. This song is about the strife America seems to find itself in every couple of decades....fighting some war we have no business even being in. I beleieve that Fogerty is more in touch with how this country actually feels than you give him credit for. And i want you to accept receipt of your son or daughter in a box coming back from war and not think it is your precious child.

John Fogerty really hits a nerve with this song. He was the driving force behind CCR and he still continues to put out great music.
