@rsp196607 yes sir "NEXT STOP IS CONCOURSE B THE COLOR CODED MAP AND SIGNS OF THE VEHICLE MATCH THE STATION COLORS, PLEASE MOVE TO THE CENTER OF THE VEHICLE AND AWAY FROM THE DOORS/ THE TRAIN IS LEAVING THE STATION PLEASE HOLD ON". I like the robot voice better
@rsp196607 Well, even though I was born in the 1990's, I think all of the ATL airport train announcers made the train uniqe. I mean, I can't think of any othe airport people movers that use the phonetic alphabet.
When I rode this thing back in 1989-1990, the announcer's voice was monotone robotic. "THE TRAIN IS NOW LEAVING THE STATION. THE TRAIN IS NOW APPROACHING CONCOURSE B". And a human male voice would say, "STOP! {dee}{doo}{dee}{doo}{dee}{doo}. DO NOT ENTER!" as the doors were closing. Anyone else remember that? I thought it was way cool--that it gave the thing character. It was paced in a way so as to move people in and out quickly. It's boring as hell now. What a huge step backward.
It's not called a train it's called a concourse and it stretches like 3 miles from a to baggage claim! When u was there a girl told her mom she was getting if at c and walking to e to meet her! The mom yelled at her, told her she wasn't getting of cuz it takes so long to walk the distance! It was funny!
