We had a problem where maximizing a XenDesktop window via the Citrix Desktop Receiver would only use 1 of our 4 client displays. But if we center the window across multiple screens and maximize, it works. Is this a bug or a feature?

  • we can replicate this, but the next question should be; what happens to the application window you may then maximise within the XenDesktop window? does it maximise across one monitor, or does it maximise across the entire XenDesktop window? This is an issue we're currently facing with XenApp published desktops.

  • wirtualny desktop z obssługą 4 monitorów

  • Just a quick note, when you clicked 'extend my desktop', the taskbar at the bottom of the screen properly arranged itself to be present only on the primary monitor.

  • We are currently working on a XenDesktop POC, can you outline how I can mimic the same demo to my team?

Requirements, was it a thin client, multiport monitor siwtch or cable, etc..

  • I think Microsoft already implemented a different Multimonitor support for RDP 6 for Vista and Win 7. Maybe with this Versions of M$ Windows will the Multimonitorsupport work properly.?! By the way, who wants that? Only people who want to fly planes into Buildings like to work with 4 Monitors? xD greets Thorgar.still working on the CCA for XenDesktop ;)

  • That is freaking awesome that XenDesktop and utilize four screens at one time!!!!

  • That is very impressive work you got there! Thanks very much for the information, XenDesktop is very nice.

  • Cool video. I'm actually quite familiar with coding for Windows multi-monitor support.

This isn't a glitch, but by design simply because Xen deals correctly with > 1 display.

The Windows host you're running XenDesktop in is presenting a single 4096 x 768 (in the case of 1024x768 normal). Your virtual desktop sees only one screen because thats what the outer OS is telling it, just a really long one! Strange why the VM sees three unused monitors though! Have u tried extending the VM desktop?
