What he misses out is the question of the support base of groups like Al-Qaeda, Taliban, Hamas, Jaish e Muhammad, etc. The support does come from the existence of the injustice (a priori). You can see this if you plot the increase in radicalism in Pakistan and Afghanistan over the course of the last decade as American presence is being increasingly felt.
