The first truck powered by a ERCM modified K5.9 and ERCM pipe combo won First Place in the big block pulling class at the No Limit World Finals at 90 LBS. The second truck with a stock K5.9 and ERCM pipe also pulled 90 LBS for third place.
@civicmaneg6 yeah but i couldnt fix mine. it was totaled. the engine just kept goin and it caught fire. and it was a cheap rc buggy and it would have cost more than the car the fix it. and ok
@reidairsofter Yeah that will happen, but you have to have a fail safe installed, but I guess you didn't know that at the time, but now you do, but they should have told you about that at the hobby shop. The same thing happened to a friend of mine he slammed into a wall we fixed it and put the fail safe in, but right now i'm looking into a rock crawler I want to make it faster for hill climbing. But i'll keep you posted on it.
@civicmaneg6 lol. i tried nitro. that was my first rc buggy. i loved it and then i found out that when the batterys in the reciever die that thing just goes wide ass open!!! lol and a few nights later i decided to drive it and the batteries died and went wide ass open and it slammed into a slap of concrete at 50+. then thats when i saw electric go so fast so the next Christmas (of 2010 or 2011) i got a rustler vxl. best Christmas ever. i highly commend one. and i see wat you mean about nitro.
@reidairsofter Come on blood i'm not going to do that shit as long as you come at me right we're good. But your right the more cells a battery has the more punch, but as far as gears go that can be said of nitro you can fool around with there gears too, but like I said I grew up on electric, but sometime you have to try something different and once I saw my first nitro truck USA 1 I was hooked I was about 14 or 15 and this was back in the 80's, but thanks for the info and keep it coming.
@civicmaneg6 well technically adding a bigger battery to an electric rc motor is just like adding turbo on a nitro rc car. i just like electric better because they are faster and they do have alot of torque. and you could probably tune an electic rc car more than a nitro because of all the gear ratios. and yea they killers. and thanks for not freaking out and cusing me out for saying electric is better like other ppl do.
@reidairsofter Don't get me wrong electric rc's are nice, but when it comes to tuning you can't really do it. You can't port and polish a electric motor and you can't put a turbo on it, but when it comes to all out speed they are the best, but nitro is just crazy little kids just love to be around them for some reason. But I grew up on electric, but moved on to nitro.... for the moment, but thanks for the reply and watch those rocks there killers.
@civicmaneg6 well considering i have about 1500-1700 in mine that goes 70 probably over 3 grand. and i have alot of control at 70. it is a little scary you have to pay attention to every little detail and check the lot for and bumps or anything
@reidairsofter Son I know what an electric rc can do i've been into them since 85, but let me ask you this how much do you think they put into an electric that can do 100+ and how much control do you have over it. I can tell you this it's not going to be doing 200+ out the box they haven't made a RTR like that yet it's way to expensive for them.
