Is personae really the plural of persona?

Yep. I took Latin and "persona" is Latin for mask. If word ends in an "a", then the plural form will end in an "ae". Some people say Personas, but that is incorrect. Just try typing personas in a word document and you will get a correction of "personae" most of the time.
